Maxima clams come in a variety of colours through gold, Green, Blue and Turquoiuse. They're all spectacular and all unique.
Clams are best set on a fairly flat or bowl shaped rock where they will attach themselves with fine filaments called byssus threads, if you need to move a clam carefully cut these threads at the furthest point from the clam as possible taking care not to damage the foot of the clam.
Clams benefit from intense lighting, although they should be carefully acclimated to your lighting, take special care to do this slowly with smaller clams. Acclimating clams and corals to light changes is very important and can be done using acclimation settings on high end LED lights or by simply moving the specimen from the bottom of the tank to it's final higher resting point a little bit every couple days.
Clams will benefit from phytoplankton, zooplankton or commercial clam diets, particulalry in low nutrient systems. They will also derive much of their required energy from the Zooxanthellae algae that resides within the cells of the clam.
