A huge light in a small package
The New AI Prime 16HD shares the same full spectrum cluster and features as the Hydra 32 and Hydra 64, as the new cluster incorporates 16 LEDs (+1 Moonlight) and the new TIR optic. At 55W this small but powerful light is perfect for tanks up to 20 x 20 inches or can be used in multiples on medium aquariums.
The AI Prime® 16HD comes standard with TIR lenses giving you the best balance of power and spread. Our lens optics are custom designed, boasting greater than 90% optical efficiency and including a diffuse exit surface to provide improved color blending.
With a spread of 24″ x 24″, the AI Prime® 16HD has a peak PAR of 100µMol at a depth of 24 inches, perfect for the small to medium reef tank. Drawing a maximum of 55 watts from the wall, it follows in the family’s efficient footsteps.
Mounting
With 3 ways to mount the AI Prime 16HD lights. The Prime Flex Arm, a silicone-coated flex arm that makes for an attractive and sturdy solution for mounting your AI Prime™ HD, the most flexible mount for a rimmed or rimless tank. (Available in 12 and 18in. lengths). Prime Tank Mount, easily mount your AI Prime™ on your rimmed or rimless tank with the Prime Tank Mount (Available in black or silver). Finally the Prime Hanging Kit, is an elegant way to suspend your AI Prime™ above your tank (Available in black or silver).
